Sunday Stitch School No. 169 Kerman stitch

Another simple-to-work stitch. I like this and it will look good using most threads. Good as a Filler, grass -and I’m sure there will be other ways to show it to good advantage.

  1. Packed tightly together the stitch looks rich and plump.

    • I must test other threads for this stitch, Queenie. It certainly is easy and quick to do.

  2. That stitch would indeed be great for grass, particularly if the stitch lengths were to vary.

  3. It is great to experiment with stitches to see how they produce different looks.

  4. I love that thread color. What is the thread?

    • The thread, Susan, is a variegated perle 8 thread but I’m not sure what brand. The higher the number for perle, the thinner it is.
