Sunday Stitch School

At last I have caught up with stitches.  It had been a very busy time preserving fruit with very little time to stitch. Then Google refused to let me log in to WordPress.   Thankfully now sorted.   Time to do a catch up of my lessons for School.

The blue centre stitch is No. 159 Invented stitch.. Slanting   — set between the previous Invented Cross stitches

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is no.159-invented-st-slanted.jpg

The first line below with orange stitches, is also Invented stitch- Slanting

No. 160 Portuguese clover
No. 161 Ceylon stitch
No. 162 Cashmere stitch
No. 163 Canvas stitch … with an insert of the stitch on canvas
No. 164 Satin Threaded Running stitch

My thanks to Queenie, who produces so many new and sometimes intriguing stitches. https://queeniepatch.blogspot.com/p/sunday-stitch-school.html

  1. My thanks to you, Maureen. You are a great friend who uses the stitches beautifully in your samplers. Thank you for taking time amid fruit preserving to work these stitches.

  2. Thank You, Queenie, for all the lessons. Of all the above I think Ceylon stitch was the easiest for coverage in a short time. Very neat stitch which I did not bother catching down on the last line. It has not moved- on soft fabric it might.
