A year’s sketches

The cyclamen was from my potted plant; poor thing was not far from expiring, hence the different coloured damaged petal.

the Kingfisher..hmm..forgotten what weekly magazine that came from.

The original dog was by Megan Roberts in the Australian Artist magazine.   It’s name should be Bonnie, which I misread.

I used Caran D’Ache watercolour pencils for all.

  1. You are making enormous progress. Lovely sketches!

    • Thank you Anneliese. Mostly I am surprised to see the end result…after some amendments of course.

  2. I think Boris is a more befitting name than Bonnie!
Your work is fascinating. Soon you will have to have an exhibition.

    • I agree Queenie, that Boris suits the heavy set dog. An exhibition? Funny lady- you must be joking.. I’ve GK’s in kinder that actually draw naturally, better than myself. No untruth in that statement.

  3. Boris sounds better for that face. =) You are better every week. The only way I can remember that you are improving is by looking back a the beginning of the year – and I thought you were good then!

    • Thank you also Susan for the encouragement, without which I’d not have reached this stage.

  4. Yep – definitely a Boris. Or maybe Buster.

    • Both names would suit. LOL
