A Year’s Sketches

The first is when Alice quotes ‘You are Old Father William’ to the Caterpillar.  I like to credit the original artist but can’t find one for this – it’s different in style to Sir John Tenniel’s.  As usual I copied it

I coloured the sketch of the mini daffodils I posted earlier.
my own work.

Another Sir John Tenniel by me.  I used Caran d’Ache museum aquarelle pencils for all today’s postings.

  1. I like the Alice sketches, but my favourite is the container of daffs – one of the best signs of spring.

  2. Daffs are lovely and these are real miniature ones, so cute as well.

  3. All wonderful! The only way I could copy anyone else’s picture is to trace it! I like Caran d’ache pencils, too. I use the gold for marking applique or sewing/quilting lines sometimes.

  4. Tracing was the only way I could get a respectable drawing before this year. Constant practise is paying off.
