1 Year’s stitches – Days 17 + 18

Yesterday I added 2 rows of Heavy Chain stitch.  Found on Queenie’s blog.

Today I added 2 rows of  Alternating Barred Chain and one row of Breton stitch found on Pintangle Stitch dictionary

  1. Oh, I like this! I like the thread colors and the variation in texture. I’m imagining how that changes the look of the whole piece.

  2. You used a variegated thread for the Heavy Chain stitches, didn’t you? They look great!

    • I did Queenie – a hand dyed thread. There were a few wobbly stitches as I was so close to the hoop. I didn’t mind that.

  3. I think chain stitch is one of my favourites – I especially like to whip it (which does sound cruel doesn’t it!).

    • Sometimes, MA you have to be cruel to be kind. grin….
