A sketch a day – Day 16

As I woke this morning and opened my eyes, this is what I saw and thought ‘that would be good to draw..all straight lines’.  and so, here is my watercolour for today.

Though I will continue to sketch and embroider daily, I’m considering posting those projects every 2 or three days, instead of every day.

  1. I am really enjoying your, posts, on both stitching and sketching, as they are my interests too! I am trying stumpwork at the moment. Best wishes please keep posting

    • Thanks Sheila, for your encouraging words. I am surprised that daily sketching is definitely improving my work. I’ll give some thought to posting daily or not.

  2. Do you keep your sketchbook underneath your pillow?
Yes, I think it is a good idea not to post every day – it does take some time to compose the blogpost, and I am sure you’d much rather sketch and stitch!

    • No sketch pad under the pillow, Queenie. We are in the middle of summer here, and the light thru the window highlighted the passageway. Too good an idea to resist.
It’s not the size of the post, but time to organize photos (bad camera-woman) and also I don’t want to wear out my kind followers with daily check-ins. I still have 11and a half months to go. LOL.

  3. Wonderful work!

  4. Thanks Renee. I’m becoming a bit more confidant.

  5. I’m not going to be worn out, but do what’s best for your scheduling. I like this all lines and angles piece. And the tiniest peek at your bed cover!

  6. Post as often as you feel comfortable – I know how much time doing a daily post takes so it’s understandable if you choose to post less often. Either way, it’s fun to see what you’re working on.
