Field mouse – a short post

Here’s where I’m up to today.  I finished the left ear and a bit more to the body.

I removed a stem that was below the branch.  It looked wrong, even in the original photo.

  1. Oh yes, now I can recognize a mouse, in yesterday’s post it was not very clear to me. This is going to be perfect. I know field mice —- we have them in the farmhouse sometimes and ——don’t love them too much – but as embroidery – great!

    • I’m not so pleased to see real mice either Anneliese. Tamed on fabric is different.

  2. He’s looking great Maureen, such beautiful neat stitching.

    • Neat stitching? Hmmm. I’ll look again.

  3. So sweet. This is really a charming piece. How did you mark the design on the cloth?

    • I used blacklead and freehand – that’s why it’s so messy. It will need a dip in soapy water when finished.

  4. this is up to your usual standard of excellence! he is beautiful !

    • You are too kind Ktj, but thankyou.

  5. He is so adorable! That’s quite a bit of stitching, too.

    • There is a fair bit of stitching but it’s not tedious at all.

  6. This is gorgeous!

    • Thank you Renee.

  7. Beautiful stitching as always Maureen. I like his eyes..

  8. Thank you Anita.
