No 101. Back to back, and slightly off centre, Triangular Buttonhole
No 102. Beaded Triangular Buttonhole.
Both stitched with fine wool on 14 count Aida.
An easy stitch, which would make a great filling area as well as borders.

This is a neat version of the Buttonhole stitch. I like the way you did the back to back one.

Thanks Connie. I only wanted a couple of examples on the strip but will play more with it on other fabric.

The back to back version is great for filling in a large area, but this stitch is also perfect for crazy quilt seams.

Hi Queenie; yes I’ll try using the stitch on CQ seams. I’ll test adding beads on the last movement instead of the first too.

After viewing your samples I tried the back to back treatment on a CQ seam and was pleased with the result and I only used one bead per movement.

Hi Maureen, a number change of beads gives very different appearances. Have you checked out Sharon’s TAST site. It is fabulous for learning new stitches. Link is at the end of the post.
