January Stitch Explorer Challenge

This is the first time I have tried this stitch, which is simple.  My mother used it on many aprons and tablecloths, so many in fact that I never had the desire to try it myself.

I have since seen varieties of patterns, one in particular is on Chloe’s Flickr site.  It looks lacy and yet solid.

I’ll have to play more with this stitch.january-challenge

  1. I know that peacock. I have seen that very bird before. But never the Peacock as a Chicken. 🙂

  2. No doubt I got that very bird pattern from you Linda, but if you think it a chicken LOL, it’s back to the drawing board for me.

Oh gee and I thought it not bad for a first go. :-0

  3. Great idea. That’s a bird I could love no matter what the name.

  4. What a fantastic way to use chicken scratch, I love it

  5. What a neat idea Maureen I just love it. I think it looks like a peacock!!!
