Another Xmas craft

My cousin gave me this little gift and thought I might like to pass it on.  It could be given at any time of year.

It was made in her local craft group.  Though there are no instructions I am sure any crafty person could work it out.

Front side

This pocket is worked on plastic canvas, 22 rows high and 11 rows wide, with wool, which appears to be a 12 ply .

The gold thread is about a 5 ply thickness.

The crucifix is 11 rows high and 7 rows wide with arms of 3 rows deep.

Reverse sideA prayer was tucked into the pocket with the crucifix and the finished item was simply wrapped, in cellophane.  Should anyone be interested in the prayer, please leave a comment and I will email it to you.
