A quick Xmas craft

If you are searching for a cheap, quick Xmas craft for yourself or children to make, try this wreath.

Materials:-

medium thickness cardboard for a doughnut shape

an old jigsaw

hot glue gun……..supervision needed with children

green spray paint………..supervision needed with children

red beads

ribbon.

Thrift shops are good places for cheap/broken jigsaws, unless you have any yourself. They make lots of wreaths too.

Cut a doughnut shape about 5″ outside diameter and 3″ inside diameter.

Hot glue first row of jigsaw pieces1st layer

2nd layer…I have used a different colour  for each layer so you can see how they are placed, but normally use any piece.

2nd layer

3rd and last layer

3rd layer

Now take the wreath into the open and spray well with your green paint and leave to dry.

Once dry you can quickly place a drop of glue and 3 red beads where you would like them. This part is the fiddly bit as the glue tends to hang.

Finished Wreath

Glue a ribbon bow on the front and another length for hanging on the back and you are done.

My DD taught this at primary school, where it was a winner.
