Apple Cheddar bread

Last week I wandered into the kitchen of  LouAnne Sassone while searching for her TIF breakdown of the colour palette to DMC threads.    LouAnne had posted a recipe for her Mother’s Apple Cheddar Bread and today I made it.

My DH much prefers breads made with yeast but freely, and without being asked, admitted that this new bread ‘Is very good’ and helped himself to further slices.  I really like it.  To lift the loaf it feels quite heavy but it is quite light to eat.  I’ll be making this often I feel.  I added a slice of cold roast pork to the unbuttered bread and it was Yuuuuumm!

Thanks LouAnne.

  1. Wow! That does look great! I never got a chance to make mine due to having the flu and then going on an ill-advised trip. Baking was the last thing on my mind. Thanks for you comment on Lulu’s Girl. Just notice too in your profile that we are about the same age!

By the way, I just LOVE the block you got from your friends. It’s full of inspiring ideas!
    Lucky You!
