more de-stashing

This week I’ve managed to get through a few UFOs and am pleased to say I made 5 needlebooks from 10 swapped hearts.

How easy it is when someone else has done the work.  All I needed to do was line each heart, add felt for needles and stitch the tops together.

This morning I found my doorstop cat had almost died and needed immediate attention.  Poor thing is only 23 years old.

Check him out now he’s re-born.

I also made oven mitts. Sorely needed and intend to make a few more of them.  I had some thermal lining just sitting on the shelf waiting.

  1. Maureen it is a great idea to make a needlebook of two hearts. After I made the charity quilt I still have a box full with hearts, have not decided what to do. I have planned to sew a few on a bag but this is also nice.

  2. What a great idea! Your needle books turned out beautifully! I’ve scheduled a link to this post to go live on my blog this morning (Central USA time), September 13. Hope it brings you some extra views!
