Dolls – request

About 12 years ago I made felted animals from a borrowed library book. These were delightful to make and I include photos of them. Unfortunately I cannot remember book title or the creator of the patterns and the book is listed as ‘missing’ from the library. I have no idea of the woman’s Surname but the first was Susanne or similar.

I would be so grateful to find the Authoress name, or book and hope by adding the photos someone may be able to help me.

The first set of dolls are Rupert and Rosalie Rabbit. All are about 8″ high

The second are Bertha and Brewster Bear

Then comes Freda Fox, who’s mate is Freddie and a very handsome fellow. These animals were distributed between my family and I have yet to get Freddie to be photographed. He wears jodphurs, gaiters, a sport coat and carries a hunting bag and stick. I think he may even wear a cravat. Very smart fox this one.

And finally Kenny. From memory his name could be either Kenny Cool or Kenny Koala. I thought because he looks so Australian that the Authoress may reside in Australia. I added the blowfly to his hat, using Carp scales for the wings.

With my fingers crossed tightly, I hope Someone will come to my rescue as I would like to make these toys again.

  1. I’m sure there must be lots of books on the subjec these days, so I daresay you’ll be able to find one or two nice ones. Not that you seem to need any help – these are amazing!

Perhaps you can search for what you remember of the book title etc on Amazon, or in that topic? I’m certain you’ll at least find something that way. Good hunting!

  2. So good to have you back. Hope your traveling was enjoyable. And now these delightful animal personalities! What a kick, seeing them. Marvelous fun.

  3. I like so much this dolls!!! lovely!!!!

    A big kiss
