TAST Week 42 Twisted Satin Stitch

A slow start this week on the Twisted Satin Stitch. It was not as easy to work as I thought it would be. Then I suffered from lack of inspiration but managed to make a few doodles before realizing the brown circle looked like the centre of a Catherine Wheel….so….

The top left green was worked from bottom to top and ended looking not unlike stem stitch. Beside it, it is worked in a Vee formation.  I preferred using the wool for the red and brown as it sat better for me.  It also looks quite good as a flower and I again used a green fine wool and a copper cotton thread.

  1. Maureen, I am always amazed at your TAST creativity. BTW I like your thimble pouches.

  2. These are lovely experiments! I especially like the copper flowers and the Catherine wheel. This is a fun stitch, I think. Gives nice texture.
