TAST Week 24 French Knot

I have added pink French knots  with fly stitch to one side of the herringbone seam and yellow ones to the other.  The whitecentres in the flowers are French knots also.

I’m outside my square here and with my funny buttonhole wall I added Barred Chain with red knots. I Couched the white fluffy thread with blue knots; did Wheatear stitch with orange, red and pink threads and knots in green and blue and lastly Feather stitch with yellow knots.

This square is worked on Aida and I started with yellow Algerian stitch and green knots.  Then I did deeper green Chevron stitches around the middle with Feather stitch and blue knots.  The border is in Cross stitch with green knots.

This is one of my UFOs and will be a scissor keeper when I complete it.  I dyed the rayon thread in two shades of green, keeping some white.  I did the silk ribbon violets before the French Knots and it was a very relaxing excercise.

  1. I love the way the top seam looks. I really am so blind to possibilities – I almost always do both sides the same! Your scissor keeper looks like a lovely field of grass and flowers.

  2. I LOVE the top seam treatment..and the violets.
