On Tuesday I finally made it to our local St Vinnie’s op shop. I’d not been to this one since its move. I found a two piece cream polyester after-5 outfit, with wide guipure lace around collar and cuffs. The label read $2.50 and I also found a multi strand necklace of blue bugle beads for 50c. As I wanted to cut the outfit for CQ I didn’t mind the many spots and blobs on the skirt but the lady was quite distressed about them. Even when I said it was okay she dropped the price to $2 and threw in the beads for free.On the way out I saw 3 doileys. I asked for the price and they were $3 each. The lady said they were not worth that and I got the lot for $1.50.I told her she was a very nice lady, she smiled and I think I made Her day. She sure made mine.

  1. Fantastic bargains!!!!!!!! The lace is delicious lol and the doiley’s are in wonderful condition. I can see you being very creative with these. It’s wonderful when you pick up some great bargains – my favorite past-time is searching thrift stores.

  2. These are wonderful bargains Miss M.
I would love to see what you are going to do with the long lace on the gown.
