Stitched in fine wool. Bullion centres with Cast-on edges
Cast-ons using white knitting cotton, about 8 perle thickness.
I used Edmar Brazilian Iris thread for the flower. This is an old photo of my very first effort at Cast-on and I didn’t handle the thread well.
Wisteria in Edmar Iris again but better stitched. I love Edmar threads but sometimes when weaving, as in buttonholing, it can slip and unwind also. More care on my part is needed.
This sample was from the “One hundred details in 200 days” alternating Barred chain, Cast-ons and beads I had used a cotton thread.
This last photo is of my current work. I used 2 strands of Cottage Garden thread, Hippeastrum. It is so good to be up to date again.

You’re early!
Oh, Maureen, you have proved how good this stitch is for flowers. I, too, am working on a floral design.

Thank you Queenie. I now look forward to seeing your Cast-ons.
They are really easy to make with fine wool too.

Thanks Anita for the compliment. I find fine wool holds some
stitches without slipping. It’s good to experiment with different threads.
