I am still adding to my stumpwork for the Stitch Explorer Challenge and am happy that I managed, at last, some Assisi work - the deer. The dog may also become Assisi work later.
Should you be interested, there are some close-ups on my Flickr site at

I’d like to thank everyone who has visited my blog and given encouragement. I appreciate it.
It’s looking great — I’m really enjoying your progress on this project!

Thank you Susan, it is surprising me that it is looking okay as it is something that is evolving without any plan.

Your comment answers my question.. I was wondering if you were working from a preconceived idea or not. It’s coming together nicely.

Gayle I had found a very old picture of a sampler – hard to come by – and intended following this but my fingers had other ideas and my brain floated along behind. LOL. I did use the deer and dog as tracings, otherwise it is nothing like the original.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your lovely comment. (couldn’t find an email address to send to, so am leaving one here) I am glad your sister can use my pincushion pattern to teach to others.
Your embroidery work is amazing!!!
Cheers,
